TenderGenie is a product of Legend Supplies (Pty) Ltd, registered in South Africa. Our platform helps construction professionals price and submit tenders using artificial intelligence.

2. What information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, company name, country, and region when you register.
- Payment information: payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store card numbers or bank details — these are held securely by PayPal under their own privacy policy.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, tender documents uploaded, and actions taken within the app.
- Uploaded documents: BOQ files (PDF, Excel, Word, images) you upload for AI processing. These are processed and then deleted from our servers within 30 days.
- Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate location (country/region) for pricing localisation.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and improve the TenderGenie platform.
- To process your subscription payments via PayPal.
- To send account activation emails, receipts, and product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To detect fraud, abuse, or security threats.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We also use analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings at any time.

- PayPal — to process subscription payments.
- Anthropic — to power the AI chat and pricing features (your BOQ content is sent to their API for processing).

We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). As a data responsible party, we:

- Uploaded BOQ files: deleted from our servers within 30 days of upload.
- Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations.

Your data may be processed in countries outside South Africa, the UK, or the EU (including the United States where our AI infrastructure is hosted). Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with POPIA and GDPR requirements.
10. Children's privacy
TenderGenie is a professional B2B platform intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
